Phosphorus characteristics in soil derived from basaltic rock in Phu Quy, Nghe An

Ferralic soils in Phu Quy: 13,441 ha. Hyperdystri-rhodic ferralsols derived from basaltic rock. Have strong acidity, high mobilable ferrus ions and low available P, strong P fixation. Phosphorus soluble in alkaline solution are dominated in the fractions. Of which, inorganic phosphorus is much higher than that of organic P fraction. Application of single super phosphate / fused magnesium phosphate and organic matters increase the phosphorus fractions extracted by 0.5 M NaHCO₃ vw 0.1M NaOH.
