Survey on the environmental status of Dai Thanh commune, Nga Bay town, Hau Giang province as the foundation for the construction of creating new communes in rural area

SUMMARY

The study “Survey on the environmental status of Dai Thanh commune, Nga Bay town, Hau Giang province as the foundation for the construction of creating new communes in rural area” was carried out from October 2011 to October 2012 in order to find out problems of the process of construction of new communes in rural area and to recommend solutions.  The study results show that there are many difficulties and obstacles of the process to meet requirements of 19 criteria in the national standard, particularly the 17th criterion (environmental one). The research also recommend several solutions to solve problems in the process, focusing on the 17th criterion in the process as well as implementing the social economic development of the commune.
