Land evaluation: a database for land use planning (a case study of acid sulphate soil area in Plain of Reeds, Mekong Delta)
Summary
Lanf evaluation enables to generate an essential data base for land use planning, especially in the acid sulphate soil areas. A case study was carried out following the methodology of FAO to classify the suitability of acid sulphate land. Essential data can derived from land evaluation study involving physical conditions as soil constraints, hydrological conditions, and farming technical practices relating to land preparation cropping calendar-soil and water management packages.
