CONCENTRATION OF AGRICULTURAL LAND IN KY ANH DISTRICT, HA TINH PROVINCE

SUMMARY

This study aims to evaluate the current situation and propose solutions to enhance the concentration of agricultural land in Ky Anh district. The primary data survey method was used to collect the results of agricultural land concentration. Secondary data were collected by investigating 99 households that concentrated on agricultural land according to the 5-point Likert scale to assess the procedure of agricultural land concentration. The SPSS 20.0 software is employed to synthesize and analyze the collected data. Assessment is classified into 5 levels (very good, good, acceptable, poor, and very poor). The concentration of agricultural land overcame the situation of land fragmentation and created large fields. The average agricultural land area increased from 705.44 to 2,181.67 square meters per plot. The average number of land plots has dropped by 67.52%, from 3.11 to 1.01 per household. It is necessary to enhance agricultural land concentration in Ky Anh district to expand agricultural production, improve farmers’ income, and contribute to sustainable agriculture development.
