DISTINGUISHING REFERENCE SOIL GROUPS AND PRINCIPAL SOIL QUALIFIERS IN VIETNAM IN CORRELATION WITH FAO/WRB CLASSIFICATION

SUMMARY
Vietnam is applying the guideline of the FAO/WRB/2014 on the international soil classification system for naming soils and creating legends for soil maps, serving soil map compilation at medium and small scales.
26 Reference soil groups and 151 principal soil qualifiers in Vietnam in correlation with FAO/WRB classification were distinguished. They can be used for soil map compilation at medium and small scales.
The author of the article hopes that the research results will contributing on Vietnamese soil information exchange with the international ones.
