Summary

Research, assessment of ground water quality in some areas of Ha Noi city

Results: concentration of Cl^– is 19.8-91.7 mg/l, did not exceed standards of Vietnam and Canada. PO₄^3- of water in wells in Kim Giang, Tuong Mai, Kim Lien, Don Thuy exceeds the allowable concentration. Groundwater in wells in Phap Van, Luong Yen, Bach Mai, Bach Khoa slightly exceeds the PO₄^3- limit. Fe total has been considered among the most polluted indexes of groundwater in Ha Noi, (water in well in Tuong Mai exceed 26 times, in Bach Mai 18 times). Water in wells of Ngo Si Lien, Ngoc Ha, Phap Van are heavily polluted in term of Mn⁴⁺. Water in wells of Yen Phu, Mai Dich exceed allowable concentration but at lower level of pollution. In term of fecal coliform, 342 among 461 analyzed samples are still within allowable standard, 119 are not acceptable.
