Content micro nutrients and heavy metals in some major soils in the north-east mountainous zone of Vietnam
Zn, Cu contents there is at a low and medium level and much lower than soils in delta region. Content of these elements war 1.23-5.12 in Bac Kan soils. In Thai Nguyen, Zn content is 0.98-4.42 mg/kg and Cu is 0.87-1.45mg/kg, Mg content is 23.3-55.5mg/kg. Cd content is 0.46-1.05mg/kg in Bac Kan soils, in Thai Nguyen it is 0.78-1.59mg/kg. Pb in Bac Kan: 1.87-1.12mg/kg, in Thai Nguyen 1.97-4.45mg/kg. Contents of these elements are higher in the soil that are closer urban and industrial zone as well as in areas with high inhabitant density. However, content of these heavy metals is still under threshold levels, but high Cd, Pb and As content in some soils nearby Thai Nguyen city warn to environment problems in these soils.
