Monitoring soil environment in Northern Vietnam from 1996 to 2002 case study of phosphorus
Result of monitoring and analyzing phosphorus in 3 areas. In Thanh Tri, P rate is 10089 mg P/kg of available phosphorus and 0.180% P2O5 of total phosphorus, these are higher than ones of general ferralsols. There is the agglomeration of P caused by wastes from industrial areas and the city. Intensive cultivation and wastes water of industrial area effect on the rate of p not only in 0-30cm soils layer of, but also in 30-60cm soils layer. In Doan Hung, P rate is of 3.30 mg P/kg of available phosphorus and 0.055% P2O5 of total phosphorus, lower than in general ferralsols. Soils erosion and low intensive cultivation is one of reasons causes soil poor in P this area. In Hiep Hoa, rate of 61.94 mg P/kg of available phosphorus and 0.091% P2O5 of total phosphorus, equivalent of general haplic acrisols. This area has low fertility, but level of intensive cultivation there is high.
