Summary

Investigation of phosphate extraction ability of rice varieties on acid sulphate soils by using P-32 techniques

25 rice varieties and lines were investigated. Rice cultivated are clearly different from each other in P-extract ability from the toxic soil excessive in soluble Fe and Al, as acid sulphate soils.

P-32 method is useful and more effective to come to know the physiological nature of the resistance of rice varieties to P-deficient soil, compared to other approaches, based on morphological methods, i.e. the valuation on relative tillering rate, development of root system…
