Summary
Current situation of hydro-structures in water resources systems serving shrimp culture in coastal province of Bac Bo
4 popular models of shrimp culture (extensive, improved extensive, mid-extensive and intensive shrimp culture) are investigated. Prevail layouts of water resources systems in shrimp culture areas and their main items have been analysed and assessed. Improved extensive shrimp culture model proved to e the most suitable one for coastal provinces of Bac Bo. For sustainable development, it is necessary to build water supply systems separately from drainage systems. Waste water from shrimp ponds must be treated before being released to the sea.
