Studying soil classification methods base on indigenous knowledge of the Thai ethnic people in Yen Chau district, Son La province
Thai’s people classifies soils into 6 classes, in which 5 soil types are classified based on land use; 3 soil types are classified on the basis current vegetation covers; 3 soil types according to topography; 14 soil types based on soil profiles description with some characteristics as soil colour, soil texture, rate of stone in the soil.
