Impact of the change of land use system on the protection of the sloping land fertility on north-western mountainous area
Among the nutrient elements in soil, available potassium is decreased rapidly and it can be used as indicator for soil degradation. Apart from erosion control measures, combination between rice intensification in valley and up land cropping on sloping land at village level, the combination between mountainous regions and plain regions at country level by extension of perennial cash crops on slopping land, the application of fertilizers can contribute to sustainable agriculture on sloping land.
