The role of legumes in maintaining and improving the fertility of degraded grey soils in Ha Bac province
In cropping systems – 2 rice crops and one cash crop, applying residues of the previous crop to the following crop has clearly increased yield of plant (in case of reducing inorganic fertilizers). Total yield (equivalent to paddy) of 7 crops in applied treatments by residues has been increased from 11.9-28.9 quintal of rice per ha. Some physical and chemical properties have been considerably improved after 7 crops of incorporating organic residues.
