Determination of functional groups of humic acid to explain biological activities in order to produce the fertilizer in Vietnam

Fourier – transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra and nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR) spectroscopy are among the most powerful tools for the determination of functional group for organic species.

This paper achieved to separate the humic acid from the Ba Sao peat and to determine functional groups in humic acid such as -OH, -COOH, phenol, quinon, aromate, hidroxyquinon, oxyquinon, amide etc… especially phenol and quinon which have biological activity.
