The relation between degraded soil, soil microorganisms and plants: a case study in infertile soils of Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province
Soil in Hiep Hoa is generally infertile, light in texture, acidic, and poor in microorganism community. There are 3 land use types. The type of 1 rice + 2 other annual crops produced the highest economic return, favors land improvement, and well protects soil from degradation. Research results confirm on the strong relation between soil properties and microorganism community in the soil. These are important for plant growth and development.
