Field trials of Leucaena leucocephala on some soil types
Leucaena grows best in the rainy season and worst in dry season. Calliandra calothyrsus grows best, branching habit and high edible dry matter yield. Exchangeable Al+3 influenced negatively on growth and dry yield of edible fraction. Fertilizer and lime had positive effect on dry biomass and dry edible fraction.
