Monitoring and analysis of saline soil in Nghia Hung district, Nam Dinh province
Saline soil monitoring and analysis (1998-2000): salinity is closely related with the topography and position and age of the field. Main parameters determine the salinity: EC, total salt, chloride, Na and SAR. Salinity improvement is gone with organic matter accumulation and therefore with increase of CEC. Soil fertility is increasing with the age of dam and agricultural practices. In condition of no limitation in water, rice yield of 5-6 tons/ha/crop can be obtained even Na saturation greater than 60%.
