Acidity problems in fluvisols of Vietnam in period 2001-2003

Study in 2001-2003 with 214 analysed samples. Result: average of pH_H2O in fluvisol is 5.39-5.55 and pH_KCl is 4.51-4.67. It confirms that fluvisols of Vietnam is not neutral, but is probably more or less acidic. Only 15% fluvisol shown a neutral pH and more than 50% fluvisols are acidic with pH_KCl below 4.6.  Attention should be paid in managing this soil for preventing the acidification process that is probably happening for fluvisols.
