Research on physico-chemical properties of soil under some forage species

Development of forage species in Ba Vi district (Leucaena KX2, Flemingia congesta, Brachiaria zuzzuensis, panicum maximum, Pennisetum purpureum) meet the need for forage and for improvement of physical-chemical properties of soil. The bulk density of soil reduced comparable to the control. Parameters as pH_KCl; CEC; exchangeable Ca²⁺ & Mg ²⁺; OC%; total – N&P₂O₅, available N&P₂O₅ were improved. Legumes have the best capability to soil improvement, especially Leucaena KX2 hybrid. Its development for forage and for soil improvement is urgent.
