Fruit production zoning and cultivation in Vietnam
Fruit production is increasing remarkably along with the increase in the cultivating area. Mekong river delta region is the biggest fruit production area in Vietnam (appr. 43% of total cultivation area), while the central highland region (Tay Nguyen) is the smallest one (appr. 1.8%). To promote fruit production according to the principles of long-term agricultural development strategy and food security policy for the country the master zoning plan for their cultivation and production is necessary.
