Verifying some drought resistant methods for cotton crop
Effect of various drought resistant methods such as mulch, superabsorbent polymer and coating film on cotton yield was studied. Drought resistant methods maintain soil moisture for longer time compared with control 4-7 days. Water superabsorbent polymer at a rate of 25kg/ha provided plants with better growth and higher yield than the other methods. The productivities of cotton were 1.52, 1.60, 1.43, 1.20 tones/ha of coating film, superabsorbent polymer, mulch and control, respectively. Economical values were also calculated. Superabsorbent polymer gained a highest net-benefit.
