Summary
Potassium in soil planting coffee in Dak Lak and Kon Tum province
Results: available potash content in Gneissic soil was higher than that of basaltic and Granitic soil. Reaction of potash fertilization on coffee yield in Dak Lak was better than in Kon Tum. Combinations of potassium with nitrogen, phosphorus made efficiency of it increasing. It is necessary to supply 3 element N, P, K fully and their doses depend on soil characteristics. Potassium fertilizer applied for coffee on basaltic soil in Dak Lak to obtain yield 2.5-3.5 tons of green bean / ha is 230-250 kg K2O/ha with N/K ratio from 0.85-1.40. On Gneiss soil in Kon Tum potassium for coffee yield 1-2 tons of green bean/ha is 125-200 kg K2O/ha with N:P:K ratio of 2:1:1.2 or 1.5:1:1.3.
