The effects of stabilising agricultutal and forestry demonstration on sustainable use and conservation of sloping land in Ba Be district, Bac Kan province
Intercropping fruit trees with annual crops such as soybean, corn with green manure hedgerow show an efficient method. Soil loss due to soil erosion from applied technique field is three forth of that from the field with monocropped soybean or corn. After 3 years, fruit trees are well-grown and have fruit product, the method appears more efficient and sustainable on slopping land. In technology transfer on slopping land, the farmer participation should be considered as one of the most important factors for the success and sustainability of the applied technique.
