Effect of N, P fertilizer on maize yield in a cropping system maize – maize – ric on developed alluvial soils at O Mon – Can Tho

Results showed that nitrogen is the most important yield improvement compared to P and K. The optimum combination of N, P, K to achieve high yield was 250-90-60 in winter-spring crop and 200-90-60 in spring-summer crop, gave 6.1t/ha and 6.0t/ha, respectively. There is no residual effect of P from the first crop with 90kg P2O5/ha to the second crop of maize and to the following rice crop.
