Effect of fertilization to crop performance on the degraded uplands
The combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers showed most prospective from viewpoint of economic effect and farmer adoption. Bulk organic matter, but not only FYM, presents a powerful tool to restore degraded upland soils. No one of organic manures or chemical fertilizers can completely replace each other in ensuring an effective and sustainable farming systems in the degraded sloping lands.
