Effect of bentonite Thanh Hoa and Lam Đong on improving crop yield and rehabilitation of degraded light texture soil

On arenosols (Thanh Hoa and Nghe An), haplic acrisols (Bac Giang) and degraded ferralit acrisoils (Ha Tay) using 10-30 tons of bentonite/ha for different annual crop species the effect of betonite on crop yield increasing sharply not only for the 1^st crop yield from 15-32%, but also for the next crops yields: on arenosols yield of sesame increased 9-12% in both site Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces. On haplic acrisols at Bac Giang province for the 4 crop rotations per year, spring peanut’s yield in the 4^th rotation still increasing 9-27%. On ferralit acrisols, tea’s yield increased 9-16% compare with unapplied bentonite.
