Sulphur containing fertilizer use for Robusta coffee in the highlands
Coffee growth had very good response to S containing fertilizers in most experiments. Application of S-containing fertilizers not only improved available sulfur content in soils and in coffee leaves, but also increased coffee yield and reduced “bright leaf” syndrome which is caused by S deficiency or unbalanced ratio N:S in the leaves. Among used S-containing fertilizers, ammonium sulfate is the most effective and economical one.
