Evaluating the quality of fluvisols in Tan Le commune, Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province

SUMMARY

Evaluating the quality of land units belonging to Fluvisols in Tan Le commune, Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province by collecting and analyzing soil samples of 06 soil profiles and 20 other soil samples of surface horizon. Analyse results show that Fluvisols in Tan Le commune is divided into 2 units: Eutric Fluvisol (FLe) and Dystric Fluvisols (FLd). Eutric Fluvisols has high fertility and the potential of diverse use, which can be used to grow 2 or 3 crops/year with high yield. Dystric Fluvisols has relatively moderate fertility, low level of organic matter. They can be used to set up many different rotational cropping patterns with high productivity.
