Assessing the effect of heavy metal contamination (Cu, Pb, Zn) by industrial activities to agricultural soil properties in the suburb of Ha Noi

SUMMARY
Soil contamination with heavy metal by industrial activities is one of the serious environmental problems in many countries. Heavy metal can be a cause of effecting soil properties and soil bio – characteristics. The results showed that soil samples which taken on agricultural soils surrounding industrial zones in the suburb of Hanoi city were polluted with Cu, Pb, Zn with a highest concentration of VH02 (90.45 mg.kg – 1 dry soil), Pb on NB02 (332.79 mg.kg – 1 dry soil) and Zn in VH03 (278.92 mg.kg – 1 dry soil). Contamination of soils has effected to earth worm. Heavy metal concentration in earth worm is highest in SĐ01 of Cu 2.11 mg.kg – 1 dry biomass, 8.76 mg.kg – 1 dry biomass of Pb and 21.26 mg.kg – 1 dry biomass of Zn. Neutral Red Retention Time (NRRT) essay on earth worm also shows that NRRT have related to heavy metal concentration in earth worm body. The higher concentration of heavy metal existed, the shorter of time of NRRT will be. The number and microorganism species in soils have also effected by heavy metal in soils. Number and ingredient of microorganisms is also deferent in soils. The total aerobic bacteria, total anaerobic bacteria and total fungi in VH01 soil sample is largest (168,8 x 104 CFU/g, 6,4 x 10 CFU/g and 61,8 x 10 CFU/g, respectively).
