Relationship between soil chemical properties and cassava tube yield on acid sulphate soils at Tri Ton, An Giang
There was high correlation between plant height, number of leaves, diameter of canopy and tube weight. 2 months after planting, soil moisture, total acidity and exchangeable Al were the main factors related to number of leaves and canopy diameter. $ months after that, total acidity and exchangeable Al were the major factors affected to plant growth. 10 months after, the effect of total acidity and EC were most correlation to tube yield. Therefore, field management for cassava plantation can be recommended as: irrigation at the 1st few months after planting, reducing total acidity and exchangeable Al by leaching, applying lime and P fertilizers.
