The impact of agricultural and forestry land allocation policy on land use effectiveness of household in district Thach Ha – Ha Tinh province

100 percent of households were satisfied with policy which hands over agro-forestry land to households and individuals so that each of land have regular owner use. Effect on household land use increased: food per capita increased from 326 kg (1995) to 402 kg (2004), income increased from 1.7 million VND/year to 3.75 million VND/year. Number of the land disputed deduced from 14 cases to 2 cases. The forest coverage increased from 8.2% to 17.45%.
