Changes of organic nitrogen forms during the composting process with the presence of Perionyx excavatus

SUMMARY
The study aiming at investigating the changes of organic Nitrogen forms during the composting process with the presence of Perionyx excavatus. Organic fertilizers were collected from two plots of different types of management: ĐC plot (composting of rice straw and cow dung) and ĐU plot (composting of rice straw and cow dung with the presence of Perionyx excavatus). During the composting process, content of mineral N and NAA compound increased in the early stages (13 and 32 days after starting) and then decreased; the amount of NAM increased and maintained stability while NAS steadily increased. The presence of Perionyx excavatus makes significantly increasing the amount of total N (Nts) and hydrolyzable N (Ntp) (1.91 and 2.27 times, respectively). The contents of mineral Nitrogen and all organic Nitrogen forms including NAM, NAS, NAA, NUK were also remarkably enlarged. The results indicated that Perionyx excavatus is an amazing biological factor for the decomposition of organic N compound.
