Inhibitory effect of some antibiotics producing streptomyces strains on the nitrification process in the soil
Soil samples were taken in the suburbs of Hanoi. Experiments focused on the inhibitory ability of some streptomyces strains on 3 strains of nitrification bacteria. Results: among 27 strains of streptomyces, 13 strains with inhibitory ability have been selected and of which 4 strains have the highest nitrification inhibitory effect but do not inhibit useful microorganism such as microorganism with ability if dissolving phosphorus compounds or symbiotic nitrogen fixation bacteria.
