Summary
Effect of phosphate to the growth and yield of short-day varieties of rice in midland region of Bac Giang
Research was in 2002-2003. 3 short-day rice varieties were used. 7 treatments, 3 phosphorus doses 60-100kg P2O5 /ha, each level with 2 ways of using: mix supephosphate together with organogenic fertilizer 2 months before use; phosphorus presowing fertilization. Results: treatment in which rice was fertilized with phosphorus gave high yield (even 0,99 tons/ha higher than without P). Rice variety DT 122 re=aches the yield of 5.91 tons/ha at the doses of 80kg P2O5/ha. Variety VL20 gave the highest yield at 100kg P2O5/ha. At the same dose of tons/ha higher than, if supephosphate was mixed together with organogenic fertilizer 2 months before fertilizing, rice grew more stronger, yield of VL20 was 0.24 tons/ha higher than in comparison with P presowing fertilization.
