Research on physico-chemical properties of soil under some forage species
Development of forage species in Ba Vi district (Leucaena KX2, Flemingia congesta, Brachiaria zuzzuensis, panicum maximum, Pennisetum purpureum) meet the need for forage and for improvement of physical-chemical properties of soil. The bulk density of soil reduced comparable to the control. Parameters as pHKCl; CEC; exchangeable Ca2+ & Mg 2+; OC%; total – N&P2O5, available N&P2O5 were improved. Legumes have the best capability to soil improvement, especially Leucaena KX2 hybrid. Its development for forage and for soil improvement is urgent.
