Added spring peanut crop on summer rice crop soils
in Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province

SUMMARY
Two experiments were conducted in Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province. The study has compared some peanut cultivars in spring season from 2011 to 2012 and some of the covered materials in summer rice crop soils. (i) Comparative studies of 6 peanut cultivars: V79, L08, L20, BT 25, Tram Dau and L14 (Control). The L20 peanut cultivar showed the highest yield among the others tested (2.11 tonnes per ha), and then L08 (1.96 tonnes per ha) significant difference at α = 5% or P = 95%. (ii) Observing the effect of mulching materials (polyetylen, rice straw and no cover as control) on variety L20, showed that: experiments with polyetylen cover gave the highest yield (2,65 ton per ha) and the highest economic efficiency (35,7 million vn dong).
