A synthesis of research results and experiences on soil moisture conservation and irrigation for tea

Experiences and long-term research in Phu Ho Tea station (1945-1999): mulching tea plantations is very necessary to control soil erosion, soil temperature and soil moisture. Irrigation at planting stage, assure the density of new tea plantations. Irrigation of mature tea plantations in dry season can improve tea quality and 15-20% of tea production.
