Analyse and assess some chemical characteristics of soil in shrimp farming ponds at Hai Hoa village Mong Cai town – Quang Ninh province

Soil environment is important to shrimp farming, it affects the life of the shrimp through water environment. Soil environment could release some toxic or non-toxic factors into the water environment. Some chemical characteristics were analysed. Results showed that pH values are low or very low, 3.60-4.80, so the soil environment is from acid to strongly acid and there is no big difference between the profiles. Ratio of CT/SO₄^2- is 0.41-0.60. the soil considered as sulphate to sulphate-chloride. Content of total soluble salt is 2.24%-3.47%. the soil is considered as very saline and there is no big difference between the profiles. Content of organic matter is assessed low to medium.
