Heavy metals status (total and available) of agricultural soil in Van Lam district, Hung Yen province
Total heavy metals in agricultural soils are in normal range for soils, except for Cu and Zn at 2 soils in traditional villages. Total Cu concentration was higher by 2 times than the critical level of Vietnam standard. Concentration of available heavy metals (cu and Zn) extracted by 0.1M HNO3 was higher for those soils than for other agricultural soils. Relatively high mobility or availability of heavy metals was pointed out to agricultural soils from Luong Thuong village of Dai Dong commune. This district has been rapidly industrialized but pollution of agricultural soils by heavy metals is limited up to present.
