Results of research on soil, leaf analysis and fertilizer use for coffee in N.V.N and the central highland
Summary
Fairly extensive studies undertaken on soil leaf analysis and the effects on fertilizer use on Arabica and Robusta coffee indicate that:
Most of the coffee plantations are located on bazals, which is rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, and other organic matter, but rather poor in potassium, and the availability of easily digestible forms of potassium and phosphorus is quite limited.
Phosphorus effects quite favourably the growth of young coffee plants, however better results may be obtained if used alongside with N P K.
Potassium also has a good impact on coffee during growth and productivity.
