The status of soil and water environment in surrounding area of Van Dien battery factory
Research results: water samples are polluted by SS and not satisfied to use for irrigational aims. The other constituents such as pH and Pb are satisfied for requirement goals according to the Vietnam Standard TCVN 5942 -1995/B). pH values of soil are showed that are neutral, however pH value of D100 sample is acidic. CEC values are rated that are medium 10.6-18.52 meq/100g soil) and the content of Pb dissolved in water and solution of acetate buffer are low. The content of Pb dissolved in water is from 0.2-0.7 ppm, and is dissolved in buffer solution running from 6.3-13.1 ppm. In summary, soil and water environment are not affected by the waste discharged by the factory.
