Assessing the implementation of land policy in Van Don district, Quang Ninh province

SUMMARY
Land policies affect the economic growth and improve the effectiveness of land use. The study aims at finding out what remaining problems in the process of implementing land policies in Van Don district and propose solutions to the effective implementation of land policies. Research results show that land use planning policies are evaluated at moderate level (mean value is between 2.6-3.4) and there is different on the level of assessment between region 3 to region 1 and region 2. There is a difference between households and organizations. Policy on land allocation, land lease and land use rights’ certificates is rated at moderate level (mean value is from 2.92 to 3.30) and there is a clear difference among the 3 regions and no differences among land use object. Policy for acquisition, compensation, support and resettlement is rated at moderate level (mean value is from 3.03 to 3.11) and clearly differs between agricultural households with other land use objects and there is a difference between region 1 and region 3.
