The improving fertility of degraded xanthis ferralsols on basalt by organic manure

Degraded xanthis ferralsols on basalt is poor in organic matter, N, K, Ca, Mg and fixed P strongly. Applying organic manure (FYM, green manure, crop vertiges…) on this soil increased in humic content and quality, cation exchangeable capacity, available P and effect of N fertilizer. Legumes should be grown to improve the soil fertility.
