Summary
Effect of heavy metals (cooper, lead) on earth worms (Pheretima morrisi) and cabbage (Brassica juncea)
Experiments on alluvial soils of Red river delta with 3 replications according to TCVN 5962-1995. Cu, Pb concentrations were applied: 0, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000 ppm. + For earthworms: after 7, 14, 21 days, effect of Cu on earthworms were evident. The more, the Cu concentration, the more the effect. At concentration of 500ppm, after 5 days, almost earthworms were dead and at 1000ppm they dead totally. Effect of Pb were not evident at all conducted concentration. Accumulation of Cu2+, Pb2+ after 35 days in earthworm was increased with Cu, Pb concentration used. Cu was accumulated more than Pb one. + For cabbage: Cu affected considerably on plant height, root loony and leaves amount. After 7 days, at concentration 200ppm root became black, and after 14 days at concentration 500ppm appeared necrotic of the stems. At Pb concentration 0-1000ppm, growth of cabbage was not affected. At Pb concentration 1300ppm after 7 days, Pb affected on cabbage.
