Summary
Initial results on investigating the water losses in existing irrigation systems in the north of Vietnam
The losses were more or less the same on the main, the second and on field canal systems. Water use coefficients were from 0.76 to 0.83 on the main canal, from 0.78 to 0.88 on secondary canal and from 0.81 to 0.85 on field canal systems. Results showed that the losses were less dependent on discharge levels.
