Acid sulphate soil in the plain of deeds: their characteristics, acid sulphate rate, classification and soil pool inventory
Proper ASS and acid sulphate properties of soils in the POR are characterized by a rather high acid sulphate, based on TPA/TAA identification. In ASS classification it has been distinguished “proper ASS”, “transitional ASS” and other soils related to ASS” based on morphology and chemical characteristics. 12 taxa of ASS have been classified, and on the new soil map at 1:1.000.000 scale it has been expressed 10 (tax/mapping units) from 12 basic taxa of classification.
