Use of Fallout Rado – nuclides (FRN) for assessing soil erosion, deposition and nutrient redistribution in the slopping land
Falldout radionuclides techniques for assessing soil erosion and soil redistribution are believed to provide promising results on larger scale areas. Results of using Cs137 as indicator for assessing soil erosion is reliable and consonant with direct soil erosion measurement by sediment yield plot technique. The preciseness of soil erosion assessment is strongly dependent on reference value. The more samples for reference value, the higher reference value precision. There is close correlation coefficient between (EFRN) Environmental Fallout Radio-Nuclides (Cs137, Pb210, and Be&) and soil nutrients content (%OM, %N, % P2O5, CEC…), therefore monitoring EFRN in the eroded soil area, that soil nutrients redistributions will be concomitantly researched on.
